HAHA! I started reading this (I had just finished commenting on another piece, refreshed my page, and your entry was up!) and thought, "Yep. Typical teenagers. This is how they talk to one another. Did we talk that way 25 years ago?" And then the meatball sub line gave me pause, and I thought, "WAIIIITTT... these are not humans." And I laughed at myself. I think this is a clever take on the prompt, and it's hilarious to me that dogs act just like kids sometimes. And the fact that you mentioned these events that *did* happen - I laughed when I read about Ashton's "mugging." The pics really help bring that to life for me, too.
