choc chip cookie recipe

From a friend on facebook, speaking about her mother's recipe:

"she always used the recipe on the back of the nestle semi sweet chip bag except she used stick margarine instead of butter and increased the flour to 3 cups (i think original recipe is 2 1/4). It makes them puffier and moist which i love instead of the flat cookies. They are what i grew up on and no other cookie comes close in my opinion."

It's funny how we have things that are just the way they are and we only want them that way, even if nobody else would. (Can you read my distaste for puffy cookies? XD) Actually, it also reminds me of local foods. Like Nico one time brought me to try White Castle cause he hadn't had it in years and he was like OH GOD YES I"M DYING and I was like... ew... what is this? Yet, I've had people respond that way about Jack in the Box tacos! On a less gross/weird foods we love category though, there's a pizza place around here that I'm pretty sure would be weird to some people. The crust is pretty puffy and firm and they use a really different kind of cheese. But it was somewhere we started going when my family first moved to the city as a local pizza place and kept going there ever since! When Flora was 5 was when we first came back to WA and we went to the place and it was the same age I was the first time I went there! Like a whole damn 31 years we've gone there and the pizza has never changed and I think I'd freak out if it disappeared!
